Our welcoming lounge is the perfect place to relax and recharge after a stroll along the seafront, a busy day exploring, or to catch up with friends for a quiet drink, or simply enjoy a peaceful moment away from the bustle of the day.
Play, or work
The Sandown is the perfect spot for serenity. Relax, laugh, make memories or even get some work done with quiet areas and free wifi.
Whether you’re winding down after exploring the island or looking to liven up your evening – enjoy a bit of friendly competition and challenge your fellow guests to a game of pool, a board game or even enjoy a good book.
The beach
It’s there greeting you everyday and a stone’s throw from the front door. Sandown beach is simply picturesque, golden and sandy, arguably the best.
Head over and see Steve at Steve’s Beach opposite. He will look after you as he does with many of our guests every year. Sunbeds, privacy breaks and parasols available.
A dog walk on Yaverland beach is a must. Just a 15-20 minute stroll from your room.
Parking
Pull up, unload your luggage and we’ll have you parked and unpacked in no time. One less worry, you can start making memories and enjoy your holiday sooner.
With plenty of space for everyone between our main car park and our on-site parking bays.
If you need to charge-up there is an EV charger at the Sandringham Hotel next door, or in the public car park at St John’s Road.

Eat ‘n’ drink
Although we don’t have any food or drink options available, we can point you in the direction of some fab’ local eateries… We have a dining space for you to enjoy your own food, and the communal lounge and front patio and garden, with views across the horizon, are great for enjoying a tasty drink in the evening. Order a takeaway to be delivered, or collect from one of the various eateries just a short walk away.
The Lounge Bar at the Sandringham Hotel is open from 5pm daily. Enjoy a freshly brewed barista-style coffee, a glass of wine, bottle of fizz, or a refreshing draught, bottled, non-alcoholic or soft drink with friends and family, the Sandringham’s lounge bar with its welcoming atmosphere is the perfect place where your holiday favourites are served with a smile for guests and locals alike to feel at home.
The Sandringham also serve breakfast daily.
